well this is matilda. and ironically, she's very good at waltzing.

made of fabric circa 1970, she's groovy, baby.

but then a touch of lace adds the charm.

moment of truth: i did not know that french part of the song, i googled it. :)

this special apron was made for a bride (michelle) who happens to make cakes too...so the fabric was all too perfect.

very interesting fact: the name "mabel" is only one letter off from "amber" (and scrambled off course) and that's the girl's name for whom this apron was made...weird. i didn't even do that on purpose!

due to the incredibly light weight of this fabric, it appears that the sides are two different lengths, lol...they're not, one side is just "slouchier"...is that a word?

while sewing this i had a special friend in mind. her name is kate, although i know her as katie, and we grew up on Windy Cove Drive together...i think since we were about two years old or so.

we were quite a team to say the least :)
